The Pancretan Association of Hotel Managers and the Region of Crete, recognizing the importance of tourism in Crete, but also the great potential offered by the hotel sector of our island in the field of employment, co-organize the "1st Pancretan Career Day in the Hotel Units of Crete".
The event will take place: on February 25th from 09:00 to 19:00 at the "Akali" Hotel in Chania and on February 26th from 09:00 to 19:00 at the "Aquila Atlantis" Hotel in Heraklion.
This is an important event, which is taking place for the first time on our island, with the participation of many Hotels from all over Crete and aims to bring the Hotels in direct contact with those who wish to work in Hotels.
Employees with previous experience in hotel units, but also anyone who wishes to start a new career in this field, have the right to participate, upon timely application. The event is also open to students of tourism schools who wish to carry out their internship.
Crete, with its special and unique characteristics, is renowned for its hospitality, its natural beauty, its rich cultural heritage and tradition, its diet which includes a wide variety of tasty and quality products, and is already one of the most important and popular tourist destinations worldwide.
In the coming years, due to the growing global trend for travel and holidays, but also due to a series of planned infrastructure investments, such as the new and modern airport of Kastelli, the completion of the BOAK and a series of large private tourism investments, a greater growth in tourism in Crete is expected and consequently a corresponding increase in labour supply. For those with an innate sense of hospitality and communication, the hotel profession is an attractive profession with a present and future, with great potential for development and career advancement.
The career day will be attended by a large number of Hotel Managers, as well as by HR and HR managers. Those who attend will have the opportunity to make contact with them and find out about the jobs available at the hotels. Also, those interested in working in the hotel industry for the first time will receive information on how to start a new career in our island's hotels.
