The final of the 16th Pancretan Vocal Competition took place with great success on Monday 16 June at the Island Club in Heraklion.
All 18 contestants who participated performed songs of their choice, accompanied by a live orchestra, in front of the audience and the Cretan jury, which included renowned people in the field.
The 1st Prize was won by Michalis Avgoustinakis from Sitia with the song "Demosthenous Words", the 2nd Prize was won by Stella Pavlaki from Rethymno with the song "The Tavern Clock", the 3rd prize was awarded to Grigoris Grigorian from Heraklion with the song "Eminna Emeina hiero", while all the contestants received honorary commendations for their participation in the competition.
The evening was presented by Marili Sotiraki while the guest of the event was Manos Makropoulos who entertained the audience with a rich folk program.
