On the last Friday of November Heraklion puts on its festive clothes and welcomes the festive season. Lights will be switched on in the city, Christmas houses will be in place and a variety of cultural events will offer a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to gather, celebrate and experience the magic of Christmas.
The lighting ceremony will begin on Friday 29 November, at 19:30, with a concert by the Children's Choir of the Municipality of Heraklion and will continue with a musical route of the Philharmonic Orchestra from the Lions to Eleftherias Square and the Christmas Tree. The Mayor of Heraklion Alexis Kalokairinos will give the signal for the countdown to the lighting ceremony, which this year for the first time will be held with the throwing of silent fireworks and together we will celebrate the beginning of the festive season!
The special night will be completed with ONIRAMA on stage! ONIRAMA, the most dynamic band with dozens of timeless hits, come full of dynamism, fun and energy. Having performed more than 4.000 shows in total in their career, they are undoubtedly the band with the most live performances in Greece and Cyprus.
ONIRAMA fill their luggage with their greatest hits, their most beloved songs and their best mood.
On this journey they are accompanied by a playlist that reflects the "mixin-up" soul of the band: from Difficult Times for Princes to Anthology for Young and Old. From Be Careful of Her to the uplifting version of Vassilis Tsitsanis's Dawn and Evening, which they performed for the first time at their live shows last year. And from Klepsydra to their recent hit Metaniono, all the songs loved by the audience, "mixed" in the way that only ONIRAMA know, to draw us into an endless dance.
