More than a thousand people packed the specially designed hall of the Olympia Palace in Heraklion to watch the 28th edition of the Olympia Palace.ο Pancretan Beauty Contest.
The title of Miss Crete 2006 was won by the Herakleionite Eleftheria Sokianou, a student of Italian and Spanish literature at the University of Athens. The Rethymniotian Kladou Georgia was elected Miss Crete 2006 and the Herakleionite Epanomeritaki Alexandra was elected Miss Crete 2006. Miss Crete Young 2006 was the seventeen-year-old Kalogeraki Maria from Rethymnon.
The evening was brightened by the presence of Miss Cosmos 2005, Miss Hellas 2005 Katerina Stikoudi, Miss Hydrogios 2003 Lila Karakitsaki and Miss Yang 2005 Chrysa Drakaki.
The presentation of the evening was made with great success by Marietta Hroussala.
It should be noted that Miss Crete among others won a Smart car offered by Carpoint.
