On Wednesday 24th of August, a large crowd of people flooded the club Envy in Heraklion where the grand final of the 33rd edition of the competition took place.th Pancretan Beauty Contest.
The title of Miss Crete 2011 was won by 19-year-old Eva Zeibekaki from Heraklion, Miss Crete 2011 was won by Fay Avdoula and Miss Crete 2011 was won by Evridiki Mercouri. The 17 year old Michaela Fotiadi from Ierapetra won the title of Miss Crete Young 2011 and Erato Mandalenaki was crowned her alternate.
The presentation of the evening was undertaken with great success by Nikos Papadakis, while in combination with the presence of many celebrities from the artistic world, a night of glamour and beauty was held.
The event was attended by many of the previous years' crowns such as Miss Crete 2009 and alternate Star Hellas 2010 Maria Tsagaraki, and Miss Crete 2004 and Superstar 2009 alternate Chrysa Drakaki, Miss Crete 2010 Sophia Papadaki, Miss Crete 2006 Eleftheria Sokianou, Miss Crete 2010 1st alternate Marian Makri, Miss Crete 2010 2nd alternate Marina Stefanaki, Miss Crete 2007 1st alternate Miranda Vitoraki and many others. The Cretan committee included, among others, the president of the Panhellenic pageants Mr. Vassilis Prevelakis and the founder of the Modeling Academy Mr. Giorgos Koutoulias, who will cooperate with Cretanart productions and the Pancretan Academy of Modeling.
Impressive sets, dance shows and music by Sam and Mentora created a unique spectacle and the flashes of the photographers did not stop flashing long after the announcement of the results, capturing moments of joy and excitement of the winners.
Cash prizes, trips and rich gifts were won by the winners and the road to a career in show bizz is wide open.
The 16 finalists appeared in evening gowns from Mara, swimwear from Planet lingerie and Fms Stores and Bodyaction sportswear from Health & Sports.
The hairstyles were done by the GP hairdressers of Giorgos Passos, the make-up by Beaute Beaute, while the girls' nails were done with Crystal Nails products.
The sponsors of the evening were the Mark Allen optics store, the Marin Dream Hotel, the Chania florist, the Cretan Furnace, Round Travel, the Hellenica company with Seventeen, Radiant and Lorvenn products, the Technology Systems security systems and the Pancretan Modeling Academy. The cooperation was also offered by the companies planetary media, Intellisense and Unique Promotions.
The choreographies and the kinematics of the candidates were supervised by Michalis Kassapakis, the styling by Babis Koutoulakis, the photos by Manos Halabalakis, the illustration of the whole preparation by Giorgos Dimitroulakis, the video editing by studio Manioros, while the scenery was taken care of by Manolis Vassilakis' company.
Communication sponsors of the competition were the newspaper Nea Crete, the magazines 18 Trida and BEST, the web sites myvita.gr and entercity.gr, the radio stations Radio 9,84, Ydrogios 106,9 and the Music Channel 105,1, which was also responsible for the music of the evening.
The main sponsor of the event was Yo Bailo dance club and the gold sponsor was Beer Academy.
The image and the atmosphere of the evening was transmitted to every part of Crete by Crete TV.
