The biggest music event of the summer is approaching and Matala is preparing to welcome again this year a large number of people during the three days of July 5, 6, & 7.
For For the 11th year, the institution established by the love of the people, the Matala Beach Festival, promises again unique moments, moments of magic and carefreeness, moments from that decade when under the Matala sky the "flower children" lived freely.
Matala Beach Festival is one of the biggest music festivals in Europe with free entrance, where it combines fun and relaxation and at the same time offers the opportunity to all people of all ages to escape from the stress of everyday life and enjoy a three-day event full of music, dancing and many activities, next to the famous beach with the caves.
The Festival is addressed in its own unique way to all age groups. It invites us on a fascinating journey, to share the magic of music, art and culture with young and old alike, and to highlight the ideals of the younger generation.
The event is organized by the "Matala Municipality of Phaistos Municipal Monoparticipating Municipal SA", the Municipality of Phaistos and the Cultural Association of Pitsidia - Matala.
3 Stages, 3 full days where the line up of the main stage of the festival will include great bands and top artists of Greek and foreign music will offer an unforgettable spectacle with the iconic caves and the most beautiful sunsets as a backdrop.
In the context of its parallel activities, Matala Beach Festival welcomes and hosts this year the "Matala Busking Project", an initiative directly linked to the culture of Matala and the philosophy of the festival.
The "Busking Project" in its essence, welcomes and embraces all independent "street artists" within a large community characterized by self-organization and acceptance. During the festival, several artists actively participate in the festival, in different parts of the settlement.
The Festival is also accompanied by the celebration of creativity and colour "Matala Street Painting" which will take place on a date to be announced soon.
The famous beach, colourful multifunctional buildings and Matala Camping will host the fans of MBF 2024!
The countdown for the biggest event of the summer has begun, 5-6-7 July 2024!
Admission to all concerts and activities will be free of charge in 2024.
