Lavrentis Mahairitsas & Nikos Portokaloglu at Fortress Fortetza in Rethymno

Two songwriters with parallel paths of almost four decades, Lavrentis Machairitsas and Nikos Portokaloglou, met for the first time this winter on the stage of the Glass Music Theatre, charting a triumphant trajectory of performances from November until Easter.

This performance, titled "What's left of the fire", was both an account and a celebration, a tribute to their disparate influences and a look back at the great moments of their career. It was enriched with the participation of many distinguished guests, songwriters and performers and deservedly won the title of the band of the year.

Having both started in the early 80s, Nikos Portokaloglou and Lavrentis Machairitsas left their mark on the decade with their two historic bands, Fatme and Termites, which had a huge impact on the following generations. From the 90s - now going it alone - until today they have never ceased to be restless and creative both on record and in concert and have collaborated with a wide range of old and new artists.

Lavrentis Mahairitsas and Nikos Portokaloglou bid farewell to this magical winter in a climate of nostalgia, emotion and entertainment, and renewed their appointment at the stations of their big summer tour.
