On Friday 9 August the 6th Banana Festival starts at the Port of Arvi with a great Cretan program from the band of George and Nikos Stratakis, while on Saturday 10 August Christos Cholidis and his whole staff will come for a great folk night! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday 9 August<\/p>\n\n\n\n

19:30 Consecration - Short greeting - The doctoral student of the University of Crete, Mrs. Irene Gergiannaki Irini will be with us and will talk about \"Organ Donation - Gift of Life\". Prepare your questions and come and learn about Organ Donation at the Banana Festival! Discussion moderator Mathioudaki Marina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

23:00 Cretan Night with the band of George and Nikos Stratakis. The Stratakis brothers come with their whole staff and promise a rousing program that will last until the early hours of the morning - entrance 15\u20ac with full menu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saturday 10 August<\/p>\n\n\n\n

20:00 Young and old will enjoy together the puppet theatre of Crete \"Drosoulites\" in the courtyard of Peter and Paul Church - free entrance.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

23:30 Folk night with Christos Cholidis. Christos Cholidis comes with his whole staff for a rich folk program that will last until the early hours of the morning - entrance 20\u20ac with drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday 11 August<\/p>\n\n\n\n

21:30 \u0384\u0384ASTROTHEASH\u0384\u0384 Observation with telescopes and skywriting by the Association of Friends of Astronomy of Crete and Xanthippe Kontogianni in the courtyard of the Arvi school - free entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

23:00 Rebetika Night with the band \"Rebetika Paths\" - free entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festival will be open to the public every day from 19:00 and admission will be free. There will be an exhibition of photographs of Arvi's past and present at the festival site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
