Next Friday 11 August, the 5\u03b7<\/sup> Banana Festival at the Port of Arvi, with a great folk program by Petros Imbros and Eleni Hatzidou. The two popular singers are coming together with their entire staff and promise a rousing program that will last until the early hours of the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

19:30 Consecration - Short greeting - Hot wheels: life in a wheelchair... and how to \"roll\" without \"banana skins\"! Our local Christina Angelaki, the gold medalist in the Paralympics Manolis Stefanoudakis and the Greek BOCCIA champion Michael Lemonis share their stories and discuss disability, sport, inclusion, and social relations. The action takes the form of an interactive interview. Get your questions ready and come learn about disability at the Banana Festival! Discussion moderator: Xanthippe Kontogianni, cultural projects manager.

The festival will be open to the public every day from 19:00 and admission will be free. There will be an exhibition of photographs of Arvi's past and present at the festival site. We will be joined by potters from Thrapani who will exhibit their products and introduce young and old to the art of pottery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
